My Seventh Generation: Healthy Baby Home Party!

I had the awesome opportunity to host a Healthy Baby Home Party featuring Seventh Generation and other great brands such as Bobble and Annie’s Homegrown.  Check out some of the great giveaways they sent…

My lovely little one insisted on commandeering a gift bag immediately.  She’s a Seventh Generation fan too!  So disappointed in myself for not taking party pics (I’m the worst with pictures, ex: no pictures from my own baby shower even).  Love their new Coconut Baby product line.  Not only does it smell fantastic but it is also extra gentle on.  With two new babies in our family and just about everyone of my girlfriends having little ones, samples went like wild fire.  Any one else get the chance to host a party?  What type of awesome games did you have?

11/29 Sunday Coupon Preview

newspaper-graphic-for-web

It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for a Sunday coupon insert preview!  I would suggest  heading on over to Sunday Coupon Preview to get an idea of what coupons you may receive. Please keep in mind that NOT all areas will get the same coupons or coupon values.

This week you may receive one P&G coupon insert. Also, be sure to check your Parade Magazine or USA Today (depending on where you live) for possible coupons as well.

RULE OF THUMB, IF YOU DON’T THINK YOU WILL RECOUP THE COST FOR THE PAPER OR HAVE NO INTEREST IN THE DISCOUNTED PRODUCTS DON’T BUY THE PAPER.  I ONLY BUY PAPERS IF I WILL SAVE AT LEAST DOUBLE THE COST OF THE PAPER.

So About September…

I sincerely apologize to those of you who follow my blog.  September was filled with excitement at our house.  Because teething and starting to walk wasn’t enough at our home, I started a new job that eats up a great deal of my time and energy.  I’m slowly learning how to budget my time better so as to allow me to still keep up on things like my workouts, couponing, and blogging.

Bear with me as I get better with my time management!  I’ve got lots of exciting deals and information just waiting to be unleashed…

10/4 Sunday Coupon Preview

Head on over to www.sundaycouponinserts.com and check out what coupons to expect this Sunday.  Looks like there will be 4 inserts!!!

As a household with a teething monster I’m especially excited for the $1 off Infant Motrin.  That alone allows me to recoup the majority of my costs for the paper.

*Tip* Don’t buy Sunday papers unless you can honestly justify saving more than you spent on the inserts themselves.  I shoot for saving at least double what I spend.

Kruisin Krogers

image

Pardon my horrific campy spelling of cruising but after the deal I scored and the lesson I just learned at Krogers I couldn’t resist.  If you’ve ever shoped Krogers buy 5 save $5 sale, you might have noticed that after each participating item the screen will show >+.  That little symbol is the key to unlocking extra savings.

Often at Krogers they discount items with large stickers on them indicating they’re on sale.  Those stickers do not exempt them from promotions already associated with the product.  I was lucky enough to stumble upon the deal of a lifetime on Kids Zone Bars.  They were already marked down to $1.49 which on its own is a great deal, however zone bars were included in the buy 5 save $5, so after that deduction each box came down to $0.49!  I about died from shock at the register and proceeded to buy out the entire stock of them.  That makes each bar less than 10 cents, which as far as protein bars go is a steal!.  At Target these boxes retail for $4.00, and I have to say the Fudge Brownie are delicious.  They’re my go to snack when I’m on the go and looking for something sweet yet still nutritious.

**Makeup Savings Alert- NYX WONDERSTICK**

My newest obsession is contouring.  In my quest to learn new techniques I stumbled upon the NYX Wonderstick.  Target & Ulta beauty carry the item and it retails for around $11.99, however if you price match Target.com it can be yours for half price!  Make sure to use Cartwheel and score an extra 10% off all cosmetic purchases.  To price match simply go to Customer Service at or prior to checkout to get this great deal.

Thanks Google shopping for doing all the hard work locating this deal for me!
